We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing team! As the HRBP, you will report to the Executive People Sponsor and be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objective of investing in our people and striving to become a best-in-class organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the company’s financial position, strategic plans, culture and its competition.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics (including employee engagement) to develop HR solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Partners with legal to maintains in-depth knowledge of requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Assists with supporting international employees via contracted employer of record service provider.
  • Provides guidance and input to managers on company restructures, workforce planning and succession planning and employee development, including job classifications, descriptions, and career ladders.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of corporate training programs to ensure success.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on all compensation matters (merit increases, promotion, bonus, 401k match, equity compensation, etc…) and provides an additional level of review for payroll processing.
  • Is responsible for the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
  • Secures positive employee relations by maintaining confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being approachable and fair, balancing business needs with employee needs, and spending significant time interfacing directly with employees and managers.
  • Any additional duties and activities as directed/delegated by supervisor.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
  • Must have strong knowledge of relevant employment laws, including but not limited to labor law, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Americans with Disabilities (ADA).
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Utilize good judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be adept and comfortable with crisis management with the ability to think and act calmly in emergency situations and employee relations matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities with strong follow-up skills.
  • Must have strong initiative and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent project management, time management with good prioritization, and presentation skills.
  • High level of experience and comfort working within an HRIS system.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Work to resolve issues in a proactive, respectful, and positive manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills as well as resourcefulness.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Familiarity with Payroll systems/practices as it relates to benefits and compensation

Benefits for Full-Time Employees

  • Dependent on experience and qualifications, the salary range for this role is $75,000 – $85,000 and includes an excellent benefits package featuring an 85% to 95% premium paid healthcare plan, 14 paid holidays, three weeks of paid time off, employee stock options, and more!
