We are seeking an Medical Science Liaison to join our growing company. The Medical Science Liaison is a key position supporting the business, sales team, our physician relationships and expectant mothers. The MSL will be responsible for maintaining and creating relationships with healthcare professionals to create a better understanding of our products and services.  You will be our subject matter expert. You will be key in driving medical outreach to help physicians implement Sera’s products into their practice. 

This position is required to be located in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient in and demonstrate the ability to understand the major data sources (clinical trials, studies, published reports, etc.) relative to the use of Sera Prognostics products.
  • Support healthcare providers by offering clinical and scientific information that helps guide medical decisions.
  • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare providers, health systems, and medical group leadership, as well as community/advocacy groups.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing corporate departments and field sales teams to create and implement educational strategies for key clients.
  • Provide insight into market trends and competition.
  • Build relationships and assist in the development of key opinion leaders.
  • Build relationships with key decision makers in health systems, medical groups, healthcare provider offices, state departments of public health, advocacy organizations, and national/regional professional societies.
  • Collaborate with clients and thought leaders on an international,  national, regional, and local level to develop clinical insights that support medical research associated with new and existing products.
  • Support implementation teams as needed.
  • Collect and report market information within company guidelines.
  • Provide the Clinical Affairs team with recommendations on investigator and site selection for future trials and studies.
  • Provide insights to the Sales Force team regarding opportunities for updates and improvements in sales force workflows and training.
  • Attending regional and national trade shows, symposia, and scientific/clinical meetings.
  • Identify local/regional educational events such as patient education events.
  • Ability to work well independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clinical background in OB/GYN. (Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Doctor (MD) or other clinical experience.
  • Minimum BA/BS in appropriate scientific/medical field of study, Masters degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years relevant experience required (clinical practice, academic research, industry) with management responsibilities.
  • Previous Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, or similar medical communications experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience with formal presentations and interaction with clinical experts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree

The starting salary range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000 depending on experience and includes an excellent benefits package featuring an 85% to 95% premium paid healthcare plan, 401K plan, 14 paid holidays, three weeks of paid time off, employee stock options, and more!
