We are seeking a Full-Time Perinatal Epidemiology Consultant to support our growing company for up to 40 hours per week. As a Perinatal Epidemiology Consultant, you will work with the data science and clinical teams to identify regional, national, and global-level perinatal datasets that add value to Sera’s product development pipelines. You will dive deep into those datasets to understand their value and limitations, and then transfer that knowledge to product development teams. All the while you will be working to empower mothers with knowledge about their pregnancies and their health.

Location

Greater Salt Lake City, UT area preferred

Hybrid office/remote work (primarily remote with occasional in-office meetings)

Hours

Consulting to be performed M-F during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Identify regional and global perinatal datasets (third-party, academic, governmental, etc.) and interrogate those data for quality, reliability, and value to current and future Sera products.
  • Work with legal, clinical, and data science teams on cross-functional product development.
  • Work as a subject matter expert to support modeling and statistical analyses.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Master’s or PhD in public health, epidemiology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in public health research, or equivalent academic research.
  • Experience with perinatal epidemiology or other maternal-child-health-related data.
  • Experience with data mining tools (e.g., Excel, R, SAS, Python, etc.)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in biotech, medical diagnostics, or other heavily regulated field.
  • Experience with human subjects research/data regulations.

Pay

  • $30.00 to $40.00 an hour.
  • No more than 40 hours per week.
